In 2022, Tancharelle Washington was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. While navigating her own treatment, she recognized that while the medical team fights the cancer, the patient is often left fighting the system.

Courage Over Cancer was born to fix that. Tancharelle channels over 20 years of advocacy experience into ensuring every woman has access to the resources and dignity they deserve.

2022: Genesis

Founded during active chemotherapy. Distributed the first 50 kits in New Orleans.

2024: Growth

Partnered with LCMC Health. Expanded distribution to 500+ kits and joined national health boards.

2026: Vision

**Essence Festival Presence.** Hosting national health equity summits and launching digital survival portals.
